Speed Up Ubuntu by Disabling Automatic Caching of Package Files? Linux Tips

Are you feeling tired or Are you lazy to delete all the files by going to command prompt every time. If it is so, here we have a tip to overcome that also.

1. Just Goto System –> Administration –> Synaptic Package Manager
2. Choose Settings –> Preferences
3. Goto “Files” Tab
4. Change the option to “Delete downloaded packages after installation”

Now you have changed the settings to prevent caching the files.

Have you noticed that there is a Button to Delete Cached Package Files to clean up the packages in the same Tab?
