How to Customize The Logon Background Image of Mac OS X?
Are you bored with your old login background image of your Mac? We have few solutions to customize the wallpaper image as your favorite image.
Manually Change the Background
1. Open the Finder Window
2. Hit Command-Shift-G.
3. Type “/System/Library/CoreServices” in the text box and Click “Go”. It opens the CoreServices Folder.
This is the Folders for important system files, the login background image, and other things.
4. Find the image labeled “DefaultDesktop.jpg” and send it to trash. Stunned? you can get it back again. So, don’t worry.
5. Replace another background image as your wish and rename it to “DefaultDesktop.jpg”
Note:
The Background image has to be in “.jpg” format. If it is not in that format just convert it to .jpg format by just open it in Preview and save it as a JPEG Format.

6. Done? Now move the new image into the CoreServices folder.
7. Then enter the authenticate password if it asks. Restart your System now. You can see Your Favorite Image as Logon Background.
Change the Background Using Loginox Freeware
There is also another method for the people who think the above method is too tedious. There is a freeware application also available for this job, called as Loginox.
After Downloading and Installing it, Just Drag the replacement image onto the New Login Image panel. Then click “Set new Login image”. That’s it. Done.
